HOW TO HAND WASH DELICATES
1. Make sure to read the washing instructions
Delicates have specific instructions on handwashing, including the type of detergent and the water temperature to use.
2. Stains on delicates
To treat stains on delicate clothing, gently work a stain remover or mild liquid detergent into the stain with your fingers. Don't scrub it, or the delicate fabric can be damaged. Wait 10 minutes so the stain remover or detergent can soak into the fibers. Then, gently squeeze water throughout the item or the stained area multiple times until the stain is removed.
3. Hand-wash your garments
Fill a sink or small basin with water and add one teaspoon of gentle liquid detergent. Place your garments in the water and then gently swish them through the water. Never twist or scrub the fabric as it could stretch and warp.
4. Rinse
Lift the garment from the sink, drain the soapy water and fill the sink or fill a second basin with clean tepid water. Put your delicates back in the sink to rinse. Swish it through the water. Repeat this step until the detergent has been completely rinsed away.
5. Dry
Remove your delicates and gently squeeze the water. Do not twist or wring as this will damage your delicates. Blot away as much water as possible by placing your garments on a clean towel and softly press down. Reshape your garments and then place them on a flat surface to dry.
WOOL AND CASHMERE CARE
Wool and cashmere can be washed in water, either by hand (recommended) or washing machine. For hand-wash use cool water, and a delicate or specialist washing detergent Ph 8+. You can also use baby shampoo to maintain an ultra-soft texture. By machine, wash your knitwear only on a delicate, wool or hand wash cycle at a cool temperature of 30°C, using a short cycle on a low spin (no more than 30 minutes). Do not leave the garment inside the machine after washing.
Never wring water out of your knitwear as it misshapes the delicate fibres. Instead, place a towel on a flat surface and lay the garment over it. Remove excess water by gently rolling and pressing the towel to make it absorb the water.
After the excess water is removed, lay the garment on a flat surface or on an air dryer, and gently stretch it to its original shape. Let the garment dry at room temperature away from direct heat and sunlight. Never hang cashmere or wool garments to dry as they will stretch and loose shape.

COTTON PIQUE CARE
Wash dark and light colours separately and inside out, at a temperature of 30° with a normal spin cycle. Wash inside out to expose the fibres to less stress, prolonging the lifetime of the garment and to protect the buttons. Remove your shirt from the washing machine as soon as the cycle is over.
For pique garments do not to use a tumbler, as this can cause shrinking. Instead lie your garment on a flat surface, gently stretching to the original shape, to air dry. This method will ensure the item will not change in dimension.

LINEN CARE
With every wash, linen becomes softer and its natural beauty and lustrous quality are enhanced. Linen is highly absorbent and benefits from being washed separately from other fabrics. Wash in lukewarm or 30°C (cold) and if possible, use a mild soap or a non-biological detergent to maintain the colour of your linen. Wash inside out on a low cycle, to prevent colour loss and avoid damaging the buttons. Never tumble or bleach linen as the harsh chemicals damage and degrade the fibres of the cloth.
Be speedy and remove your linen as soon as possible after washing from the basin or washing machine. Hang your garment and let air dry naturally.
